Our Story

I never set out to build a brand. I set out to make something with my own hands — something honest, something that felt like me — in the quiet hours between school runs and homework and the thousand small things that fill a mother’s day.

I’m Aayushi Tandon, and I make bags from Prayagraj — a city that has taught me patience, and the value of things made slowly, with care.

My husband is an entrepreneur, carrying forward a legacy in his own industry — one built long before I came along, with its own weight and its own quiet expectations. Watching him hold that inheritance with such grace taught me something I didn’t expect: that legacy isn’t just what you receive. It’s also what you choose to begin.

It began in July 2022, almost by chance — a small stall at a local exhibition, a handful of clutches and potlis I’d made myself, and no real plan beyond that. I wasn’t sure anyone would stop. But people did. They picked up a potli, turned it over in their hands, asked who made it — and something in me that had been quiet for years, quietly lit up.

That one exhibition table, between raising my adorable daughter and building a home, became the beginning of everything.

Glitter Phoenix was born from that in-between space — the hours after bedtime, the mornings before the house wakes up. Every piece is handcrafted, quietly, because that’s how the best things in my life have always come to be: without noise, without rush, made only for the people who’ll actually carry them.

I’m not trying to build an empire. I’m trying to build something my daughter will be proud of one day — and something you’ll reach for, again and again, because it was made for you alone.
